David started his career at St Mirren before joining Forfar. He impressed during his spell at Station Park which encouraged Ayr United to sign him for an undisclosed fee a couple of seasons ago. Last season he was unable to break into the Ayr first team on a regular basis and was freed at the end of the season by new manager Brian Reid. Allan Moore stepped in immediately to bring him to Forthbank. He has been the first choice left back this season. David missed most of March through injury and recently returned to the squad at Ayr at the begining of April.
